MISSOULA, MT - Olyva Health Group today announced the opening of Riverstone Residence, a dedicated women’s sober living home located in Missoula, Montana. The home provides structured, peer-supported recovery housing exclusively for adult women, addressing a significant and long-documented gap in Missoula’s behavioral health continuum of care.
Riverstone Residence accommodates up to eight women in a safe, substance-free environment, offering both private and shared room options. The home operates under the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) framework, with Level 2 certification through the Recovery Alliance of Montana (RAM) currently pending. NARR- certified homes are recognized by Montana’s Department of Public Health and Human Services, the Montana Department of Corrections, and local drug court programs as meeting established standards for ethical, accountable recovery housing management.
“Missoula has a strong treatment infrastructure, but women completing inpatient programs or drug court have had almost nowhere to go,” said Dr. Sara, founder of Olyva Health Group. “Riverstone Residence fills that gap. We are providing a real home — structured, safe, and built around community — where women can do the work of recovery without having to fight for stable housing at the same time.”
Addressing a Documented Need
According to Missoula’s 2025 Community Needs and Gaps Analysis, the absence of women-specific recovery housing has been identified as a persistent barrier to long- term recovery outcomes for women in the region. The closure of the Johnson Street shelter in August 2025 further reduced available transitional housing options, increasing pressure on downstream housing resources.
Riverstone Residence is designed to serve women transitioning from inpatient treatment, completing drug court or probation requirements, or seeking a stable, accountable living environment as a foundation for long-term sobriety. The home accepts women with criminal histories and actively coordinates with probation and parole officers to support residents’ supervision requirements.
A Platform for Growth
Riverstone Residence is the first home under the Olyva Health Group umbrella, which is committed to expanding women’s recovery housing and behavioral health services across Montana. The organization’s long-term vision includes additional recovery residences in Missoula and other Montana markets, as well as expanded clinical and peer support services.
“We are starting with one home and doing it right,” said Dr. Sara. “Quality, accountability, and genuine community — that is the Olyva standard. Everything we build from here will be built on that foundation.”
Availability and Referrals
Riverstone Residence is currently accepting applications for June 2026 move-ins. Private rooms are available at 1,150 per month and shared rooms at 750 per month, with all utilities included. The home is a private-pay residence; many residents utilize SSI, SSDI, or employment income. Upon completion of NARR Level 2 certification, the home will also be eligible to accept Montana Department of Corrections rental vouchers and DPHHS room-and-board vouchers.
Referrals are welcomed from treatment providers, case managers, hospital discharge planners, drug court coordinators, and probation and parole officers.
