A group of U.S. data scientists has published a list of federal datasets that have been altered or removed since President Donald Trump returned to the White House. Released last Friday on Halloween, the “Dearly Departed Datasets” list aims to highlight the administration's removal of data related to gender identity; diversity, equity and inclusion; and climate change. The list categorizes datasets that have been terminated, altered or made less accessible. While only dozens of datasets have been completely removed, experts warn that federal data remains at risk due to staff losses and potential policy conflicts.
