Three Palestinians have died in a clash with Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, as violence has spiked during new war in the Middle East. The Israeli military says settlers attacked Palestinians near Khirbet Abu Falah on Sunday and that two men died from gunfire. It says a third man died from suffocation, likely from tear gas. Earlier attacks in the week killed three Palestinians. The military has condemned the settler violence and opened a criminal investigation, but rights groups say authorities rarely prosecute settlers. The Palestinian Red Crescent says new gates and closures also slow ambulances and first responders.
