A heated and active Delaware legislative session came to an end Monday, with lawmakers working well into the night to pass as many bills as possible in the final hours before the July 1 deadline. 

A state panel has boosted Delaware’s government revenue forecast but lowered its estimate for the fiscal year starting July 1.

Democratic Gov. John Carney is proposing to boost Delaware’s government operating budget by more than 7% over the current year’s budget, with hundreds of millions of dollars in new spending for state employee pay raises, health care and affordable housing.
