Gov. Larry Hogan on Wednesday announced that the state of Maryland has surpassed 1 million COVID-19 booster shots. The governor said this is another major milestone as the state continues to conduct one of the most successful vaccination campaigns in the country.

Working with the internet could be easier in Maryland. That's because Governor Hogan announced the Connect Maryland Initiative. The $400 million initiative includes money to expand broadband access across the state. The initiative also includes discounts on internet services for qualified households. Regina Fletcher owns a dry cleaning business in Snow Hill. Regina said she frequently has internet issues and cannot use her cash register when the internet is down.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has announced a new initiative to get more young residents vaccinated against COVID-19 in partnership with the Maryland Department of Health. Any vaccinated Marylander between the ages of 12 and 17 will be eligible for a $50,000 college scholarship, Gov. Hogan announced Wednesday. The system will use the same random generator system used for the state’s VaxCash promotion.
