It was another miserable day on Delmarva. But you don't have to tell the student athletes of Wicomico County- fall sports practices started today. Wicomico High School football player Darius Foreman says he and the team are feeling the heat.

People still had to work outside today on Delmarva, even though temperatures were soaring in the 90s. Outdoor workers in Western Sussex County are facing a heatwave lasting until the end of the week. Some workers pushing through the heat are Walmart employees pushing shopping carts. Walmart employee Jadon Hayward said the hot weather is nothing new to him.

As the fair grounds filled up Monday afternoon, one thing was on everyone's minds: the heat. With highs topping out around 90 and a heatwave making it's return to Delmarva this week, fairgoers told WBOC they were seeking any relief they could get.

Hot days and blow torches usually don't go hand in hand, but for Bill Wolff at Salisbury University, the work never stops. He says the safety gear he has to wear certainly doesn't make it any better.
