* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Maryland, including the following
counties, Dorchester, Somerset and Wicomico.
* WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 851 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Salisbury, Fruitland, Salisbury University, Delmar, Hebron,
Parsonsburg, Mardela Springs, Catchpenny, Shad Point, Allen,
Trinity, Eden, Lakewood, Royal Oak, Green Hill, Chesapeake
Heights, Wetipquin, Salisbury-Wicomico, Bivalve and Melson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when
water begins rising.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
