A miracle may soon be on the horizon for ice skaters and hockey players in lower Delaware. Miracle Ice Arena, a newly formed nonprofit, has launched a $2 million fundraising campaign to bring ice sports back to Kent and Sussex counties after the Delaware State Fair shut down the region's only indoor rink earlier this year.

Right now, the Talbot County Community ice rink in Easton is just concrete. Under it is 11 miles of piping to keep the ice cold. However, that piping sprung a leak and failed. What that means for the community is there will be no sports or activities for at least the next few months.
