A spokesperson for the U.S. Embassy says that Washington's special envoy Steve Witkoff and the U.S. president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner have arrived in Israel. Their arrival comes a day after the ceasefire was tested as Israeli forces launched a wave of deadly strikes saying Hamas militants had killed two soldiers, and threatened to halt the transfer of aid into the territory.
