WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. — The Maryland Department of the Environment held a public hearing Wednesday on a proposed wastewater discharge permit for Perdue AgriBusiness’ facility on Zion Church Road near Salisbury.

UPDATE: Nine people were taken to a local hospital after 68 pounds of anhydrous ammonia was released into the air Saturday morning at the Perdue processing facility in Milford.
