A skydiving plane crashed in southern New Jersey leaving eight people still in hospitals nearly 24 hours later. Authorities say the Cessna 208B reported engine trouble after takeoff from Cross Keys Airport on Wednesday evening and crash-landed while attempting to return. Three victims are in critical condition, with injuries including blunt force trauma. Emergency crews decontaminated some passengers exposed to jet fuel. Officials call it remarkable that all passengers survived. The plane was severely damaged. A police chief described the initial crash scene as “chaotic” but said many people jumped into action, including less injured victims tending to the more seriously hurt people.
