Iran has warned people to evacuate three major ports in the United Arab Emirates, including the busiest in the Middle East, as its war with the U.S. and Israel enters its third week. Tehran's warning Saturday was its first open threat to a neighboring country's non-U.S. assets. It said the U.S. had attacked Kharg Island, crucial to Iran's oil sector, from the UAE. President Donald Trump has said the U.S. destroyed military sites on Kharg Island and warned that its oil infrastructure could be next. Trump has said he hopes other countries send warships to keep the Strait of Hormuz “open and safe."

President Donald Trump says the U.S. destroyed military sites on an island vital to Iran’s oil network and warned that the island’s oil infrastructure could be next if Iran continues to interfere with the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump says U.S. forces on Friday “obliterated” targets on Iran’s Kharg Island, home to the primary terminal that handles the country’s oil exports. Meanwhile, an American official says 2,500 more Marines and an amphibious assault ship are being sent to the Middle East nearly two weeks into the war with the Islamic Republic.

One grew up in rural Haiti amid the poverty and violence. The other grew up in Michigan as a self-described “blue-collar farm kid.” Both became pastors in Springfield, Ohio, sharing a goal inspired by their faith: They are supporting the city’s Haitian migrants who fear deportation under President Donald Trump’s ongoing immigration crackdown. Reginald Silencieux, pastor of the First Haitian Evangelical Church, and Carl Ruby, pastor of Central Christian Church, share a mutual respect for one another. They both stood up for Haitians when Trump falsely accused Springfield’s Haitian migrants of eating their neighbors’ cats and dogs in 2024.

As American and Israeli strikes pound the Islamic Republic and Iran attacks Persian Gulf shipping and energy infrastructure with no sign of an end to the war, U.S. President Donald Trump posted a new threat to Iran’s leaders on his Truth Social website. “They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them,” Trump wrote. “What a great honor it is to do so!” Intense strikes hit Tehran and areas surrounding Iran’s capital, as Iran continued striking at neighboring Arab Gulf States, helping to drive oil prices back above $100 a barrel.
