Ukraine has launched hundreds of drones across Russia, marking one of Kyiv’s largest aerial attacks of the war. Russia’s Ministry of Defense reports that it destroyed 822 drones overnight, with 600 targeting the Russian capital. On Sunday, five people were killed in Russia’s southwestern Rostov region, where three towns came under attack, according to local Governor Yury Slyusar. An 83-year-old man was also killed after a Ukrainian drone hit a private home in the Moscow region.

Ukrainian drones have struck a major refinery deep inside Russia, marking the fourth attack in three days. This is part of Kyiv’s ongoing campaign to disrupt Moscow’s vital oil sector more than four years after Russia launched its full-scale invasion. The targeted refinery is one of Russia's largest, military officials said Thursday. Ukrainian forces hit the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat complex, causing a fire. The attack follows a blitz on a Russian naval base on the Black Sea coast. A Russian official says another refinery hit by Ukraine earlier this week could take six months to bring back online. Meanwhile, Russia has responded with missile and drone strikes across Ukraine, killing at least four people.
