The latest attempt at ceasefire talks between the United States and Iran has fallen flat after Tehran's top diplomat left Pakistan and President Donald Trump said he told envoys not to travel to Islamabad. The talks on Saturday were meant to follow historic face-to-face negotiations earlier this month. Iranian officials have questioned U.S. trustworthiness after U.S. forces blockaded Iranian ports in response to Tehran's grip on the Strait of Hormuz. Iran had said talks with the U.S. would be indirect. The economic fallout continues. Meanwhile, another ceasefire, between Israel and the Iranian-backed Lebanese militant Hezbollah group, was shaken as each side fired at the other.
