A Virginia man’s murder conviction has been vacated, freeing him after 25 years in prison, including over a decade on death row. Justin Michael Wolfe was released Monday, three years after the key witness against him recanted. Wolfe accepted a plea deal on marijuana and robbery charges for time served. Wolfe, who was 19 when the case began, was initially convicted for the 2001 murder of Daniel Petrole. An appellate court found prosecutorial misconduct tainted the case.
