The United Arab Emirates says an Iranian missile targeted one of its ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel is owned by Abu Dhabi’s state-run ADNOC oil company. The attack happened early on Saturday, but no casualties were reported. ADNOC says over a dozen of its vessels have faced similar attacks since February. Meanwhile, Yemen’s military attacked the country's Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in response to the strikes, escalating tensions and threatening to reignite the civil war. In Turkey, a Kurdish peace bill passed its first hurdle in parliament. The draft law includes a conditional pardon for former fighters and aims to end the decades-long conflict with Kurdish separatists.

Russian attacks on Kyiv and its surrounding region have killed four people, including a child. Local officials reported the deaths on Saturday. The attacks involved drones and missiles, overwhelming Kyiv's air defenses. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said one person died in a missile strike on civilian infrastructure. Ukraine's air force intercepted 135 of 151 drones launched by Russia overnight. Meanwhile, Ukraine has targeted Russian oil facilities, causing fuel shortages. Six people were wounded at the Ilsky Oil Refinery in Russia due to a drone strike. Meanwhile, Zelenskyy is in Serbia for talks on economic ties and security issues.

Authorities say a drone with explosives was found at Germany’s Leipzig/Halle Airport and the device was defused. The country's top security official said Wednesday that the incident posed a “new quality of danger.” Regional police and prosecutors said an airport employee discovered a drone near the airport’s south runway with “an unknown explosive device,” and the object was examined by police. They removed its detonator. The German interior minister described what happened as “a hybrid attack scenario,” but didn’t offer more details of authorities’ assessment or specify who might be responsible.
