A prosecutor in Syracuse, New York, says he’ll bring charges against several students suspected in a violent hazing linked to a high school lacrosse team. He says five victims were tricked into a simulated kidnapping. Authorities say at least one appears to have been abducted at gunpoint and tied up in events that were recorded on video. The student was later released and suffered no physical injuries. Prosecutors are offering an amnesty period for the suspects to turn themselves in and face misdemeanor charges that wouldn't result in jail time. Those who don't turn themselves in could face felony kidnapping charges.
