If you attended summer camp as a child, you probably have some great memories such as singing camp songs, being around the campfire, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Unfortunately, not all kids get to experience summer camp. However, it does not have to be that way.

President of the Eastern Shore Police Association, Robin Roberts, Deputy First Class, Jake Rideout with the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office, and K9 Officer Mattis, join us to tell us more about Camp ESPA. The camp helps under-privileged or at risk children on the Peninsula.

K9 Officer Mattis is a people tracker. Deputy Rideout and Mattis have only been working together for a few weeks and Mattis has been doing great!

The 7th Annual Eastern Shore Police Association 2017 Fallen Officer Memorial Ride is May 6 starting at 10 am. This ride honors the police officers that died in the line of duty while working on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The ride leaves from Cambridge Moose Lodge and ends at Camp ESPA in Rhodesdale. Cost is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger and lunch is included. To register for the event, go here.
