The new partnership with Breaking Glass Pictures brings an assortment of movies geared toward the LGBTQ community to Xfinity on Demand TV customers.
Xfinity is the brand name for the consumer TV service provided by the Comcast Corporation. Comcast is one of the largest broadcasting and cable television companies in the world, as the owner of NBC Universal. It is also one of the largest Internet service providers in the United States. The company is based in Philadelphia.
Breaking Glass Pictures is a content distributor, also based in Philadelphia, founded in 2009. It mainly provides a platform for independent dramas, horror, documentaries and foreign selections on DVD and digital streaming. One of its staples has been its growing library of LGBTQ cinema, which will now be included under the recently established Xfinity LGBTQ Film and TV Collection.
The collection first launched in June 2016 as part of Pride Month, the annual tradition of recognizing and celebrating the LGBTQ community and advocating for its rights and liberties. The collection now has more than 400 titles. If you are a Xfinity subscriber, you can access this collection by navigating to “Popular Destinations” on the menu and then choosing “LGBTQ Film & TV.” You can also say “LGBTQ” into the X1 voice remote.
Breaking Glass Pictures will add 80 of its titles to the collection. More than 30 have been made immediately available. Breaking Glass Pictures will add the rest throughout the course of the year.
