While many of us go for long drives to take in the beauty of the Fall colors this time of year, something you may not realize – right now is actually a great time to plant trees, too. Ginny Rosenkranz, with the University of Maryland Extension Office, was a guest on DelmarvaLife Thursday. She says Fall is the best time to plant trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials. That’s because the soil is still warm but the cooler temperatures signal the plants to start to slow down and go dormant.
