What would you do for love?
In the mid-18oos, Henry Johnson built a stately plantation house for his bride-to-be. Johnson was given Elizabeth Henry’s hand in marriage with the provision that he build her a home of suitable proportions on property her father gave to the couple. Today, the Merry Sherwood Plantation House still stands thanks to the efforts of its current owner, Kirk Burbage and is restored to its original grandeur by Mark Showell Interiors. We take you on a tour of this beautiful home and tell you why you are invited to spend some time there.
