When it comes to being active and exercising, there are a million excuses you could probably come up with to not do it.
We take the reason “I’m too old” off that list when we talk to senior athletes who recently participated in a triathlon. Al Gardiner, Marian Gardiner-Fegely, and Dick Kent share their triathlon story with us.
The trio trained for the triathlon and they share a few workouts you can do at home such as push-ups, sit-ups, and jumping jacks.
“One of the things I think people should not do is berate individuals that are couch potatoes. I think the hardest steps are those between the couch and the front door. Instead of saying ‘you should’ say ‘I’m going to take a walk, it’s a beautiful day outside, I’d like you to go with me,'” Dick says.
