Sean visits Kuhn’s Jewelers and talks with Susan Purnell about how Kuhn’s has been in the business for 162 years. Susan says the secret to being in business for so long is because they love their customers and they keep coming back for generations.
Susan explains the different colors of gold there are:
- Yellow Gold – the way gold comes from the ground
- White Gold – yellow gold with nickel added
- Rose Gold – yellow gold with copper added
Stackable bracelets and rings are popular, as well as remounting. Customers bring in a diamond and Kuhn’s can put it in a new setting to make it into a whole new piece of jewelry. A diamond that has been handed down from your grandmother is very meaningful, so if it is in a new, more wearable setting, you can have a piece of your grandmother with you at all times.
