Zach Clements is a strong teenager, he is a high school football player and obviously has a sense of humor. By all measures, he is a healthy young man and that is why this was more of a shock. As he was running, he suddenly passed out and dropped to the floor in PE class.
It was a sudden cardiac arrest according to the doctors, and his mother was called. Technically and medically, he was dead. He was without a heartbeat for 20 minutes. Before they pronounced his time of death, they got a pulse. He was airlifted to a children’s hospital, and woke up days later. His recovery has been remarkable.
