They’ve been described as pioneers in the all female rock band genre, so we decided they would be the perfect band to break in the new Mid South Audio Stage.
The Girlfriends started making music together in the mid 80’s. They took a 25-year break and then go back together. They’ve been back together performing and making new music for the past six years now.
They’re performing two originals for us, one new one titled “Here We Are” and one from back in the 80’s, “Dancing Fool.”
