Today on DelmarvaLife:
Doesn’t it just make sense to use your talents to help others who need it the most? That’s exactly what Dr. Suni Jani, with Community Behavioral Health, is doing. She’s written a book to help people who work with refugees. We’ll sit down with Dr. Jani to hear more about the book, and why she’s so passionate about the topic.
It might be June 10th, but it’s never too early to start talking about July 4th. We’re learning about this year’s Red White & BOOM in Salisbury. It’s an event that brings both the pyrotechnics and the party to Delmarva. Just like in previous years, 102.5 WBOC will provide music accompaniment to the fireworks show. The fun kicks off at Wicomico County Stadium on July 4th. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. The fireworks show gets underway around 9:30 p.m.
Lt. Tim Robinson, with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, stops by with this week’s list of Most Wanted Monday. He’ll explain how your watchful eye for any of the people featured on today’s list, along with an anonymous tip to Crime Solvers, could lead to some extra cash in your wallet.
Father’s Day takes place on Sunday – perhaps you want to take out dad for a nice meal to show him what he means to you. Is seafood his favorite? Maybe shrimp, or some crabs? 102.5 WBOC’s Corey Phoebus visits the Shrimp Boat in West Ocean City to learn how the meal you might enjoy there, gets from the water, to the table.
We’re looking forward to hearing Classical Crossover Tenor, Jonathan Cilia Faro, on the Mid South Audio Stage. He’ll perform two beautiful pieces, as he promotes his new album, “From Now On.”
Do you know someone who has a birthday or wedding anniversary coming up? A great way to celebrate is with a DelmarvaLife Occasion. Submit your occasion here.
