Kerri Evelyn Harris

Kerri Evelyn Harris is the incumbent Democratic representative for Delaware's 32nd House District, encompassing Southeast Dover, Northeast Magnolia, and parts of the bay area. A veteran, community advocate, and mother, Harris has dedicated her life to public service. She served as a loadmaster in the U.S. Air Force from 2001 to 2008, participating in missions across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. After her military service, Harris engaged in various community initiatives, including volunteering with Habitat for Humanity following Hurricane Katrina and working with organizations such as the Delaware Chapter of the MidAtlantic Justice Coalition and the Delaware Alliance for Community Advancement.

In 2018, Harris ran for the U.S. Senate, challenging incumbent Senator Tom Carper in the Democratic primary and receiving 35% of the vote. She was elected to the Delaware House of Representatives in 2022 and currently serves as the House Majority Whip. Harris is also the chair of the House Health and Human Development Committee and a member of several other committees, including Agriculture, Housing, Natural Resources & Energy, Transportation, and Veterans Affairs.
