Mike Ramone graduated from the University of Delaware in 1982. As a junior in college, Ramone turned his singular flower shop into a multi-store business with locations throughout Delaware.

The candidate for governor has spent 16 years as the House Minority Leader representing District 21 in New Castle County. As a state legislator, Mike sits on many committees including the House Capital Infrastructure, House Housing and Community Affairs, House Revenue and Finance, the House Veterans Affairs and more. He has also provided counsel for the Kids Caucus, the Small Business Caucus and the Family Law Commission. Ramone has also served on several state councils.
