OCEAN CITY, MD - Ocean City's Springfest wrapped up in Worcester County on Sunday. The four-day event had live music, vendors, food trucks and more.
The 34th Ocean City Springfest was held in Worcester County from April 24th to April 27th this year. The annual event is held at the Inlet Lot, right off the boardwalk, and brings in hundreds of visitors from across Delmarva and the country.
The four-day event was full of live music, food, crafts, and more. Visitors could catch musical performances from over 20 bands including The Uptown Band, The Mathew Street Band, Crash the Limo, and Crash the Limo.
There were also plenty of opportunities for artists and exhibitors from across the country to showcase their work. Some of this year's vendors included clothing, jewelry, paintings, and pottery. A wide array of items were on display for visitors to view, shop from, and explore.
WBOC spoke to several attendees from across Delmarva and the country who say they've been attending Springfest for several years. Joe Stanton, from Ocean City, says he looks forward to listening to the bands that perform at the boardwalk. Stanton says it's important for Ocean City to hold events like Springfest. "We need something to do around here. Everybody loves coming here, even people from out of state".
Barbara Wood from Viera, Florida says she has been coming to Ocean City since she was a little girl and has attended the festival for the past three years with her friends. Wood says "I like the music, I like the crowds, it's just great". She adds that events like Springfest are a great way to get people out of the house and trying new opportunities in Ocean City. "I think it's a great thing to get new people interested in the space and to find that there are other things down here besides just the beach"... "You get to try things that you may not have tried before". Barbara says she'll be coming back to Ocean City in October to enjoy all the Fall events the town has to offer.
