planned power outages

BERLIN, Md. – The town of Berlin has announced two planned, town-wide power outages in May as crews perform essential maintenance on a substation transformer on Schoolfield Street.

The first outage is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. A second outage is planned for Saturday, May 16, from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Town officials say the outages are necessary to complete preventative maintenance aimed at reducing the risk of longer, unplanned power disruptions in the future.
