DOVER, DE - The Delaware State Police have arrested a 20-year-old Dover Air Force Base airman following an investigation into a sexual relationship between the man and a minor.

According to DSP, their investigation into Amir Hughes, 20, of Dover, began in April of 2024 and  revealed an on-going sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

Police say Hughes was arrested on May 30th and charged with 10 counts of 2nd degree rape. He was taken to Sussex Correctional Institution on $600,000 cash bond.
