Delaware Police Find Guns, Over 650 Bags of Heroin in Multi-Agency Neighborhood Operation

DOVER, Del. - Delaware State Police have finished a two-day multi-agency operation in the Capital Park neighborhood near Dover in response to recent criminal activity.

Police say there have been four shooting complaints reported in the last two weeks of December 2019.  As a result, police coordinated a pro-active criminal operation with a focus on seizing guns. Police also learned that weapons, drugs and contraband were being hidden behind homes on both state and Kent County land.

During their operation, police were able to find pistols, an assault rifle as well as 656 bags of Heroin after the returned to the area on Jan. 2.

State police are crediting the success of the operation to a collaboration of multiple officers and pledge to continue to target violent crime in the Dover area.
