FEDERALSBURG, Md.– Hazmat crews responded to an overturned tractor trailer which caused an intersection closure early this morning.

Emergency crews responded to the area of MD 392 (Harrison Ferry Road) and North Tara Road in Federalsburg around 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, according to the Hurlock Volunteer Fire Company's run log.

The Hebron and Salisbury Fire Departments were among assisting agencies, with a SFD hazmat team helping clean up a fuel spill and turn the vehicle upright.

The tractor trailer was the only vehicle involved, according to Maryland's Department of Transportation.

MDOT's interactive traffic map showed the intersection still closed as of 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 21.
