16-Year-Old Boy Dead from Shooting in Dorchester County

DOVER, Del.- The Dover Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened at an ATM early Thursday morning. 

Just after 2:30 a.m., a man was taking money out of an ATM at the Wells Fargo on the 100 block of North DuPont Highway in Dover. This is when another man approached him, according to police.

They say the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. The victim then dropped his wallet and ran. He was still holding his the cash from the ATM in his hand when he got away.

The suspect fired at least three shots at the man as he ran. One bullet hit a parked car in the area. The victim said he saw the suspect get into a vehicle behind the Wells Fargo and drove away southbound with an undisclosed amount of money from the victim.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.
