MARYLAND - Gov. Wes Moore has won Maryland's gubernatorial Democratic primary, the Associated Press has projected.
"Thank you, Maryland!" Moore said in a social media post on June 23 following the projection. "Your votes made this all happen, and I am proud to be your Democratic nominee for Governor again."
Moore won the Democratic primary against fellow Democratic candidate Eric Felber.
Moore is seeking his second consecutive term after becoming the first Black governor Maryland history in 2023. During his tenure, Moore oversaw the recovery after the Key Bridge collapse and expanded the state's child tax credit.
The Republican primary has yet to be called in Maryland, so Moore's challenger in November remains to be seen.
