Seaford Man Arrested on Drug Charges at Salisbury Apartment Complex

SALISBURY, Md. - A Seaford, Delaware, man was arrested for having marijuana and 30 bags of heroin when officers approached him near Ocean Isle Apartments in Salisbury. 

Since the beginning of August, Salisbury Police Department has investigated multiple thefts from motor vehicles within various apartment complexes around Salisbury.

On August 12, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers were patrolling the area of Ocean Isle Apartments off Beaglin Park Drive. While patrolling the area, officers received a call to respond to the area of building 120 for a report of a suspicious person walking in the apartment complex. The caller stated that this person was knocking on apartment doors asking for a cell phone charger.

Officers began checking this area and located 21-year-old Kadeem Deajour Hughes of Seaford, sitting in a stairwell of building 120, who was the same person knocking on doors.

Further investigation revealed that Hughes was in possession of marijuana and 30 bags of heroin, according to police. 

Hughes was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
