SALISBURY, Md. - Two juveniles were detained after an alleged armed road rage incident in Salisbury over the weekend, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
Police say officers responded to the area of Mount Hermon Road at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Aug. 1 for a reported road rage incident. Investigators say two juvenile males allegedly held a victim at gunpoint at a Burger King.
According to police, both suspects ran from the scene when officers arrived. Officers pursued the juveniles on foot and detained both a short time later.
During the pursuit, police say one of the suspects, identified as a 16-year-old boy, dropped a bookbag. Officers say the bag contained a P80 handgun and suspected narcotics packaged for apparent distribution.
The teen accused of possessing the bookbag was charged as an adult and later released to the Wicomico County Detention Center, according to police.
The second juvenile was released to the custody of a guardian.
