FARMINGTON, Del.- A Milton woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident in a Kent County town Thursday night.
Delaware State Police say a 33-year-old woman was standing in the middle of the northbound lane of South DuPont Highway in Farmington when she was hit by an unknown car around 7 p.m. Troopers say she died at the scene. Her identity has not been released pending notification of family.
DSP says the car did not stop, and the driver left the scene.
The northbound lanes of South Dupont Highway were closed for about four hours while the scene was investigated, and the roadway was cleared.
