The Salisbury Zoo has announced the upcoming departure of their female Andean Bear Chaska.
Salisbury-born Andean Bear Sinchi recently widened his paw print on species conservation by moving from Philadelphia to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
The Salisbury Zoo's female Andean bear, Chaska, has given birth to twin boys, zoo officials announced Friday.
Sinchi along with a few members from the Salisbury Zoo made the trip to Philadelphia early Tuesday morning. Zoo officials in Philadelphia will make the determination as to when Sinchi officially goes on display at the Philadelphia Zoo. Prior to Sinchi's departure, Caleb Oliver, one of the bear keepers in Salisbury, said the young bear will certainly be missed in the zoo and on Delmarva.
