Ahead of the fall music festivals, Ocean City officials are working to have new small cell phone towers installed in the busy areas of the beach town. The town is working with the cell companies AT&T and Verizon to make this change.

AT&T says the hourslong outage to its U.S. cellphone network appeared to be the result of a technical error, not a malicious attack.
Widespread AT&T network outages were reported across the United States Thursday, including loss of service on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
AT&T will shut down its network on Tuesday (Feb. 22). T-Mobile will follow in July and Verizon says it will shut its network down by year's end.
