Officials with the Gunston School in Centreville say they have successfully completed a new roof system on the Paul M. Long Academic Building. The project was made possible by a $150,000 Bond Initiative approved by the State of Maryland.

The proposed project would replace the current middle school with a new facility designed for middle grade students. Officials say the new school would be approximately 96,373 square feet with a capacity of 650 students. The district owns property adjacent to Woodbridge High School that would be used as the site of the new school.
