Worcester County is celebrating Maryland's shellfish industry by the launch of "Maryland's Coast Shellfish" brand. The new initiative highlights locally grown oysters, clams and bay scallops, as well as the people in the places who grow them. 

The Maryland Coastal Bays Program has released the 2024 Coastal Bays Report Card rating the overall health of the bays at a B, the highest score the bays have achieved so far. 

Volunteers descended upon Ocean City today with the non-profit Maryland Coastal Bays Program for an ocean and beach cleanup - the organizations annual "Marine Debris Plunder." Volunteers collected trash and various items littering the streets and waters near Ocean City.
