Two people were hit in a crosswalk in Dewey Beach early this morning, and then there was a near-miss at the scene while police were investigating later that led to a DUI arrest, according to Dewey Beach police. 

Crews wrapped up work on two new raised crosswalks today, one on Pine Street and the other on Race Street. The goal, city officials say, is to slow traffic and keep pedestrians safe.

Salisbury Mayor Randy Taylor has announced the repaving of Downtown Salisbury’s rainbow crosswalks and their repainting with a neutral pattern beginning next week.

The City of Salisbury announced it will be painting over its Pride crosswalks at the intersection of South Division Street and West/East Market Street. 

In a bid to enhance efficiency and safety in downtown Cambridge, the city is implementing a significant change to its traffic management system. The proposal aims to replace traditional traffic lights with stop signs, a move anticipated to make pedestrian crossings more predictable and secure.
