Delaware prosecutors have secured a homicide charge conviction in connection to a fatal overdose, a first for the state.

A Snow Hill and a Salisbury man have both pleaded guilty to multiple charges in Ohio after they were caught attempting to smuggle fentanyl from Ohio to Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Attorney General Kathy Jennings announced Tuesday that the Division of Civil Rights & Public Trust (DCRPT) has reached a pre-indictment plea agreement with a former Dover police officer who experienced an opioid overdose in his patrol vehicle and later tested positive for fentanyl and marijuana.
