Hundreds of people gathered at the Milton Fire Department on Thursday to remember the people who lost their lives during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Milton firefighter Alan Jackson marked the anniversary by completing his final mile in a personal tribute to the firefighters who died that day. Jackson has been running one mile for each of the 343 firefighters killed on 9/11.

25 years later, people across Delmarva are finding different ways to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. At Dover Motor Speedway, that remembrance included rolling up their sleeves and giving blood.

Governor John Carney ordered the state flag be lowered to half-staff on Saturday, Oct. 26, in remembrance of Lewes Mayor Ted Becker on the day of his celebration of life.

Flags in Delaware have been ordered to be lowered to half-staff Thursday for National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

Laurel High School hosted the funeral service and celebration of life for 18-year-old Kylee Robinson, a senior who lost his life in last Sundays shooting incident that also left two other teens, a 15-year-old and 13-year-old injured. 

The Delmar community is mourning the loss of High School Junior Carter Figgs, echoing the phrase "Forever 32." From across town and through Delmar High School -- the community is working to heal.

Delaware U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.) helped to introduce a resolution Monday that would recognize September 11th as a National Day of Service and Remembrance.
