The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control announced the opening of applications for the state's Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative (TEDI). Organizations seeking grant funding for tree planting projects for the Spring of 2026 have until July 21st to apply.
The Delaware Department of Transportation is partnering with the Delaware Department of Agriculture’s Delaware Forest Service to plant over 12,100 trees in support of the Forest Initiative Fund.

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore has teamed up with the Maryland Forest Service for a tree planting ceremony on April 29 to serve as one of the statewide kick-off events aiming to be a catalyst to meet the state’s tree canopy goals.
