Researchers with the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) are asking for your help in tracking dolphins in Chesapeake Bay waters as they look into what brings the iconic animal to our aquatic backyard - and there’s an app for that.

Coordinated efforts to move the body of a deceased humpback whale discovered in the shallows of the Indian River Bay this week have so far proven unsuccessful. 

The Right Whale Slow Zone east of Ocean City has been extended through March 17, 2025, due to the detection of endangered Right Whales.

Boaters near Ocean City are being asked to slow down after endangered right whales were detected in the nearby waters.
