With the winter storm approaching Delmarva this weekend, we couldn’t help but think back to 2010 when a blizzard rolled through the shore.
Snow storms were not given names until Nov. 2012, but many called the Delmarva blizzard in Feb. 2010, “Snowmageddon.” This storm was a category 3 nor’easter and many places on Delmarva received 20-35 inches of snow. The Dec. 2009 Nor’easter and Snowmageddon combined caused this to be the snowiest winter on record to the Mid-Atlantic.
