Normal high: 85°F. Normal low: 66°F.
It has been a quiet Tuesday, with a light northerly breeze keeping the humidity down a little bit.
A seabreeze front has developed along the Route 113 corridor, and there is a low chance a shower or thunderstorm could develop along this front before it breaks down Tuesday evening.
With plenty of humidity near the ground, nearly calm winds, and skies that could go partly to mostly clear overnight, areas of patchy fog are likely to develop after midnight through the sunrise hour on Wednesday.
High pressure briefly builds into the region for Wednesday, which is shaping up to be the best day of the week, with lots of sunshine and afternoon highs near 90°F.
As an upper trough settles over the East Coast, a series of disturbances will bring clusters of showers and thunderstorms to Delmarva starting on Thursday. This will be followed up by a cold front that will sag down and stall out over or near Delmarva for late-week into the weekend, continuing daily chances of showers and thunderstorms. No single day will be a complete washout, but be prepared for gusty downpours and lots of lightning should a storm pass through your area.
Temperatures Thursday through the weekend will be suppressed into the low to mid 80s.
Then high pressure builds back in for next Monday, which will be mostly sunny and seasonably warm.
In the long range, temperatures are expected to be below normal, and precipitation above normal for Aug 25 - Aug 31.
In the Tropics: There are no areas of development interest at this time.
The Atlantic hurricane season ends on November 30.
