FORECAST DISCUSSION
Normal high: 85°F. Normal low: 66°F.
After a couple of showers early Monday, skies have mostly cleared out, leaving Delmarva with partly to mostly sunny skies this evening.
A weak cold front is going to cross Delmarva late Monday night into Tuesday. With the front will come a chance for a few showers or rumbles of thunder Monday night, and a chance again for a few showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday won't be a washout, though.
High pressure briefly builds into the region for Wednesday, which is shaping up to be the best day of the week, with lots of sunshine and afternoon highs near 90°F.
Then another cold front will sag down over Delmarva, and get stuck here for several days, making for an unsettled second half of the week.
Expect widely scattered showers and thunderstorms every day from Thursday into the coming weekend. The clouds and precipitation will keep temperatures seasonably cool, in the low to mid 80s during this time.
In the long range, temperatures are expected to be above normal, and precipitation above normal for Aug 24 - Aug 30.
In the Tropics: There are no areas of development interest at this time.
The Atlantic hurricane season ends on November 30.
